I'm not one to care about giving criminals rights, but D&D promoting gangs? Weird.

RPG convict said: "The 33-year-old Singer is a devoted player of the fantasy role-playing game that involves recruiting others to play as a group. He argued that his First Amendment rights were being violated and demanded that Dungeons and Dragons material confiscated from his cell be returned."

Don't know the law (Scott?) but his "rights" have been limited much more by putting him in prison. So likely his other "rights" have been diminished too. Methinks time to consider "going straight"... to your game store when one gets out of prison. In the meantime, reality has intruded.

I figured that would be at least in your top 5.

Well, it does show how the teenage mind doesn't function fully... we used to think that going to prison would be the only way we'd get to playing the 1000-hour Campaign for North Africa boardame. Instead, it would have been much more likely a to get disagreeable attentions.

Bill, I asked my wife about "rights" in prison and she said (as we all pretty well assumed) that prisoners get "basic" rights and nothing more for the most part. Maybe prison would be a good time for him to sit down and write that DnD campaign he's been thinking of.....
