Well you get alot of "creating gold" I suggest you buy exotic mount. Make sure you toss a few skill points in the "ride" and "handle animal"

Won't make you take or use points in fly skill however. The mount knows how to fly itself, you just need to guide it.

If you can't afford one...Who knows what awaits you in the adventures ahead.

I'm not trying to just buy a flying mount. I'm trying to have it as an actual lifelong companion, something that grows and learns as my character does... something to separate my character from just 'someone that bought a griffon'.

I'm assuming druids can still take larger animals on the reduced level charts from 3.5 right? If thats true I can take a dire-bat if all else fails.

Well for now take Dire-bat. ....okay it seems you can take a Dire-eagle. Its in Races of Stone page186. Take a look at that.

Just try not to get hit by a snake coming out of a tree. *ouch!*

What's even crazier is that it's not even a Dex focused rogue...

I myself am thinking of playing a Conjuring school Human wizard who neglected Necromancy and divination schools with a Fox for a familiar.
