Come join us for lots of fun at our Open Game Night!

What is an Open Game Night?

Open Gaming means you can play whatever you want. Our members will bring a variety of games to share. You can play one of those games, or you can bring your own to share, too! There are no limits to what can be played (although we try to keep it family appropriate, please!).

What time does it start/end?

It starts at 5:00pm and we try to conclude around 9:00pm. But don't worry about being late or leaving early. Come when you can and leave when you need.

Should I bring a game? Should I bring anything else?

You don't have to bring a game, but you are welcome to if you wish. You don't really need to bring anything else unless you want to make a donation or buy snacks.

Where do we play?

This Open Game Night is being held at the DECATUR CLUB. Once at the Decatur Club, take the elevator to the 3rd Floor, then head to the Library.

Who is all going to be there?

Whomever RSVPs Yes! We typically have around 15 people at our Meetups, so there's lots of opportunities to meet new people and play new games.

Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely! When you RSVP, you can add guests. But even if you forget, it's no big deal - bring some friends along!

Does it cost to attend?

We do not charge or have dues. We do set out a donation box, and we ask for $1 - $2 per person to help cover expenses, but that is NOT required, and we don't keep track.

Is there food/drinks available?

Food and drinks are available at the Decatur Club. Please note that outside food/drinks are not allowed.

I have other questions!

Feel free to discuss this Meetup or ask questions in our Message Board.

I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard for so long. It was nice to play some "lighter" games and see some folks show up that hadn't been for a while

David, I'm glad you and Aaron had a good time. I know we all enjoyed the games, and you two were a big part of that. Hope to see you again soon!

Nice meeting everyone tonight. I missed the post about bringing Stone Age - I actually have that one and could have brought it. Oh well. Aaron was a bit nervous about meeting new people and an extra thanks for making us feel so welcome, he said he was glad he attended (as was I!).

Does anyone have Stone Age by Rio Grande Games that they could bring? I was told that it was fun and I needed to play it.

David, don't worry about running late. Our game nights usually run until around 9:00 or so. My kid beats me in every game too, but that is because she is 15 months and just clears the board!

David, that's great! We will be looking forward to meeting you and your son. Don't worry, my kid usually beats me, too.

Hey guys, new to the group. May or may not be bringing my son (who usually beats me). I play just about anything, but will likely bring some of my new games, which are Power Struggle, Vasco da Gama, Before the Wind, and Sylla. Will be a bit late (6:30ish?), coming from Springfield.

I'll bring Settlers of Cattan, Drakon and Wits and Wagers. See if I can fit anything else in my bag.
