Open Gaming at Clockwork Pizza

Clockwork Pizza (map)

Selected By: Matt W.

The fine folks at Clockwork Pizza are allowing us to try their establishment as a venue. This is the trial run. We will be playing a variety of board and role playing games. Everyone is welcome! We will not be having organized food - if you want to eat/drink, you'll take care of that on your own.

See you there!

So is there anything I can bring to help out? I am off for a change and can enjoy some much needed gaming and socializing.

You don't have to bring anything, unless you want to bring some games. On open game nights, sometimes we just decide what to play when we get there. Or sometimes someone will toss out a game title on here and get informal RSVPs.

For someone new to this type of gaming (me!), would this be an appropriate event to start out with?

@Heidi: Of course it would. This type of open event is always fun and a good way to get into these types of games

Heidi, like Steve said - our open game days are great for anyone! This one is especially good, since in addition to great gaming, you have the added benefit of delicious pizza! ;)

I think we might have an angry dwarf PC open in Fantasy Hero. This week's Fantasy Hero is going to be awesome. Think a slave rebellion Oceans 11 style with no plan. The head of the guard is dead, and we need to free Tavish, our misplaced companion. Can we free him, and flee the remote slave camp, or will we end up smashing all of the guards to a pulp and take the place over? Let Jeff Jones know if you want to join.

If everyone shows up that is RSVP'd, this will be our biggest turnout ever. I hope Clockwork is fully staffed...

Holy cow guys. I don't think us new people will worry about having no one to talk to. That is a large crowd. Kinda exciting for a Tuesday off XD

They may have to put us in the backroom--there won't be room for regular patrons!

So, what games are people planning on bringing?

I'm going to bring some lighter gamers that are more party friendly. Stuff like Munchkin and Red November, but I think I'll also bring Carcassonne and maybe one or two more

Yes, 31. And I've been told by 1 person that he'll "probably" be there but hasn't RSVP'd. So who knows what the final tally will be.

Erm...now might be a good time to note that a friend of mine that's never been to a Decatur Gamers meeting might be going tomorrow...I told her about the group and she's pretty excited about it...she's mostly a tabletop RPG gamer.
