The Settlers of Catan Game Day!

Come join us for the granddaddy of all resource gathering, civilization building board games - The Settlers of Catan. If you have Catan, or an expansion, please bring it with you. We will have different games set up so that we can accommodate both NEW players and EXPERIENCED players. We will start at 4PM and play until around 9PM.
In Settlers of Catan, players try to be the dominant force on the island of Catan by building settlements, cities, and roads. On each turn dice are rolled to determine what resources the island produces. Players collect these resources to build up their civilizations to get to 10 victory points and win the game. Multi-award-winning and one of the most popular games in recent history due to its amazing ability to appeal to non-gamers and gamers alike.

Any suggestions to any cool variants for Catan?

That Knights and Cities is quite a comprehensive add-on pack. That's going to take a while to totally get the hang of. It's fun playing with the 5-6 player expansions too.

I find that Cities & Knights rectifies one of the flaws of the base game. It forces you to build and eliminates one of the strategies used to win the original.
