Richland Community College (map)
Initially, the trip to the mine site seemed very proftiable. While our heroes did face numerous difficulties, the major difficulties seemed behind them. Goods were delivered and sold at very lucrative prices and after a planned few days of recreation they would make the hundred mile journey back to the port city.
But events unfolded that left wrinkles in their plans. Matt, bothered by the scene of oppression and the horrible stories of what the slaves face, slowly filled with rage. Luckily the Tom Tapper created a diversion that gave the characters an excuse to make a quick exit of the city to face an imaginary problem. Unfortunatly, the cries of distraction actually attracted a band of paskas (gnolls) and after a quick battle left Tom severely wounded.
Their mind was made up to heal up a bit and then get out of Dodge but that was before a new caravan arrived with their goods, one of which was their lost comrade Tavish. They were unaware of his arrival, until a day later when they heard his cries as he was being beaten.
This led to complete chaos by the party members which culminated in the discovery of the murder of the captain of the camp, Carl committing arson to hide the crime, and producing a forgery to free their comrade.
After a long series of events, the party is back on the road with Tavish, but without the profits from the sale of their goods. Tom is still in a fairly serious medical condition and the rough travel may have an adverse affect. They are travelling back with the other caravan and should be safe.
However, they are being taunted by the lion-headed horse thing they discoursed with a few days previously. Screams of lost comrades and whispers of failures are heard at night.
And to make matters worse, the merchant and Matt left the party to go back and attempt to rescue the slaves.
What more hardships can our party face? The butterfly has beat its wings and the world is changing.
New Players Welcome.
Apparently there are more uses for gnoll heads than I could have ever dreamed of.
