Come join us for lots of fun at our Open Game Night!
What is an Open Game Night?
Open Gaming means you can play whatever you want. Our members will bring a variety of games to share. You can play one of those games, or you can bring your own to share, too! There are no limits to what can be played (although we try to keep it family appropriate, please!).
What time does it start/end?
It starts at 5:00pm and we try to conclude around 9:00pm. But don't worry about being late or leaving early. Come when you can and leave when you need.
Should I bring a game? Should I bring anything else?
You don't have to bring a game, but you are welcome to if you wish. You don't really need to bring anything else unless you want to make a donation or buy snacks.
Where do we play?
This Open Game Night is being held at the DECATUR CLUB. Once at the Decatur Club, take the elevator to the 3rd Floor, then head to the Library.
Who is all going to be there?
Whomever RSVPs Yes! We typically have around 15 people at our Meetups, so there's lots of opportunities to meet new people and play new games.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely! When you RSVP, you can add guests. But even if you forget, it's no big deal - bring some friends along!
Does it cost to attend?
We do not charge or have dues. We do set out a donation box, and we ask for $1 - $2 per person to help cover expenses, but that is NOT required, and we don't keep track.
Is there food/drinks available?
Food and drinks are available at the Decatur Club. Please note that outside food/drinks are not allowed.
I have other questions!
Feel free to discuss this Meetup or ask questions in our Message Board.
I'll bring several games. I still havent busted out Merchants and Marauders!
I actually might not be able to make it on time or at all cause a thing came up but I will try my best to at least make it before it is all over.
I signed up as a yes, but I'm not 100% certain I can make it. I'll know tomorrow if I can since I'm still trying to put Brea's playset back together...
I'll be at the Decatur Club throwing slings and arrows at Andrew Breitbart.
@Rick... must.... keep.... comment.... about.... Breitbart.... to.... myself..... *head explodes*
You should come along with me. I bet they are going to have the audience present secret questions to the speaker, so this way you get your chance to put him on the spot.
Yeah, but by the time the evening was done, I'd probably be throwing chairs at him
Ironically enough, he wasn't that bad. He ranted and raved about the usual conservative conspiracy theory that the media is controlled by the Democratic party and the communists have infiltrated the government and the schools. They secretly trying to turn the USA into the USSR 2.0. In fact, somebody asked Breitbart if he had heard that some of Obama's supporters were going to Russia and bringing back former communist officals here to the US. He was funny and had a lot of good jokes to tell.
I'll bring Munchkin! Shanghi Noon game (Western & Kung Fu blended decks). It's a blast!
