You could always use counters, but it isn't as cool looking!

You guys have me kinda itching to get back into some GW. I haven't convinced my wallet yet, but any word on when 6th edition 40K is coming out? I heard that the new edition of WHFB just came out. I'd hate to decide to get back into 40K just to have a new edition come out a year later.

I don't expect 5th Ed to go away any time soon, but there's always that risk. WFB (Warhammer Fantasy Battles) is what Justin plays. It's set in the ancient / midevil time frame. Much more restrictive on movement, though. I love 40K, but I've always been more of a sci-fi buff myself. I started in 4th Ed with Necrons. Sold them & started Space Marines. Now I've sold them & found my love of all things green! I have around 3000pts of greenskin stuff (Ork) but not much is painted yet. I'll post some pictures...if I figure out how...

It does count... As long as you put two dots on for the eyes.

As for convincing your wallet go cough up the money... It's more legal than a drug habit...but not likely as cheap! The stuff is pricey, but each person has their hobbies. Some people pay $50 for a PC game & then $20 / month to play it, I play GW. Warhammer 40K, Blood Bowl, Necromunda, Battlefleet Gothic, etc...

Believe me, I understand the worth of spending on ones hobby. I just have about 5 times too many, lol. I'm probably going to get a BB team anyway though. I just need to decide what I'll like. Time for research...

I feel your pain there. Too many hobbies, not enough time or money.

Well, it seems like Necrons got a re-build. New models, new rules, new nastiness. It will be interesting to see how they play. Plenty of tank-busting now, it seems. Here are some changes I've seen. Not saying things here are fact, nothing is for sure till you see it in the codex (usually). Items in Italic are changes to pre-existing units. Items proceeded by a "+" are new, items proceeded by a "-" are missing. All this is from GW's website:
