I might have some skills to bare. Outside of the crazy stuff at work that I do, I am a photographer getting into the professional market and I am trying to increase my web presence. I have been doing quite a bit of podcast listening on this topic and am running 2 blogs (and possibly starting a 3rd) as a business experiment, so building a sronger web presence might be one area that I could help.

Accounting, research, and politicing. I have no problem wadding through tons of paperwork or researching information whether on the internet or in the library. If there is an answer, I will usually find it. Also, I have no problem speaking or promoting the group in the community. I'm very comfortable meeting with people and giving them the lowdown without making it seem too complicated.

Wow, we have a lot of graphic designers...
Should we have a t-shirt design contest or something? That might be fun, although it would be an internal thing. How can we utilize your skills to bring more people to the group, or to get current members even more active? |

I don't think that other than offering different games/efents or encouraging people to use the Meetup as a means of cordinating/recruiting for their games there is much to do with the lurkers. It may be the the pareto principle holds.
As far as getting new people to join...there is plenty of opportunity for use to "utilize our skills" in this area. Perhaps we ought to meet physically, and brainstorm. |

I'm in accounting and I love anything with numbers, so I can help out with any of that. Sam is an excellent photographer, but he would never tell you that.
I think the t-shirt idea sounds fun. It could be a means of raising money for the group, etc. |

I have a head start on t-shirts!*
I have a number of wargamerwear t-shirts and miscellaneous weird stuff at: http://www.cafepress.... Maps for wargames and fantasy with my ex-partner Bob Bledsaw at: http://www.cafepress.... *although if it's supposed to included Decatur Gamers in the design then I am still at the starting line! |

I do secretarial work during the day, and I'm not saying I always enjoy all that entails, but I love organizing items (not so much events). I'm not afraid to make calls.
I sing too, but I don't see how that helps unless I'm playing Rock Band. |
