Wow, they must have changed something since last I looked - you can only have one design per store!? No, we don't have a premium store, nor would we until we could sell enough merchandise to pay for it (read: never). Maybe CafePress isn't the way to go, I know there are other "print on demand" stores out there, like http://www.printfecti...

I've had fairly good experience with VistaPrint, though they are a little scammy. They seem to be pretty economical at least.
All nights but Thursdays (for the next five weeks at least) are good for me. For the sake of trying to get things moving, I'll suggest a date of Monday the twelfth. Does that work for everybody? |

Matt, you do not have to have a premium store. You could have numerous single-design stores (I do) ...so you just have a store for each design. While it could be done a number of ways, you would have an initial page that has ALL designs in a grid then when you click on a design, you are taken to its list of items.
If later you get very similar designs, one could interpose a page that allows you to branch off into each variation first before landing on the clothing associated with that particular variation. Sam, I'm sorry that Monday 7/12 didn't work out for me and we didn't have a moment at the game to say one word about all this. Mondays/Wednesdays/some Fridays/Sundays are not good for me. You said only Thursdays are bad for you so how Tuesday 7/27? Could you come by the Professional Building at Main & Decatur Streets at 5PM? That's where my office is (main floor, come in the back door, Tour Group Pro is in the back of Atlas Travel). That's where my Mac is. If it needs to be later that's okay; I'm just 7 minutes away. |

Made some progress at involving MU students today in a graphic design way and possibly starting a MU student organization re games. Before I describe this on line in this space I will be huddling with my committee members and the Organizers.

Made some progress at involving MU students today in a graphic design way and possibly starting a MU student organization re games. Before I describe this on line in this space I will be huddling with my committee members and the Organizers. I will meet with the students tomorrow and the goals are still as above but Chris suggested asking for them to make a logo for the Decatur Con also. |

I met with the students and they gladly took on our request to redesign our logo plus one for Decatur Con! I project having over a dozen entries as they compete to design the best set of logos.
They had many questions and some asked if they'd be welcome to attend a meetup perhaps to gather inspiration for the design and possibly out of curiosity... I said that this would be fine and that they should feel welcome to observe or participate. We also talked briefly about how Decatur Gamers would like to foster a connection or at least welcome them to attend meetups for games. Some thought there might already be an official* student organization for game players at MU called Dimensions. I looked it up online but it had no description. So I emailed my contact to ask him how to tell. *In order for an organization to post fliers etc., an organization must be set up with 4 students as officers and have a faculty adviser. |

Bill, thank you so much for taking on all this work. It is greatly appreciated. It sounds like you have everything under control. I like the idea for the logos for the Con, and I also think it would be a great idea for some of the students to come to a Meetup.
It would be great if we could get together with an existing gaming group at MU (or convince some students to start one). The more, the merrier. Let me know if you need anything from me or the group to proceed. |

I have asked Matt or Chris to set up a survey so membership can choose a new logo... and copied in Brian, Rick & Sam.
See http://www.g-design.u... I am considering bringing the logos in person to the next meetups to get in-person feedback and choices. Please encourage all active members to vote because the students put a lot of work into this. Thanks! If you want to call me, 454-4525 is my cell. Bill PS there is still a chance we can get a game club at MU officially set up but we need to go to the effort of picking a favorite logo first. The students put a lot of work into this and surely each of can take a few moments to look through these and answer the survey that will be "up" soon. |

Wow, those are really something else! I wish I had an artistic bone in my body.
Number 4 is gorgeous! It'll get my vote. :) |

I like 4 to but where there is the 3 gameboard diamonds in the corner, replace em with a d20, a chesspiece or gaming minature, and a playing card, staggered like the gameboards are.
