Now this is a game I could get behind. Which I hate, as I told myself I was done with MMORPGs.

Just when you thought you were out....

I really think TOR is going to be a different kind of MMO. There's a lot of pissing and moaning about that fact, but I think it has the potential to be great.

One of the newest morsels of info... Players will get personal ships for "housing."

Agreed, it doesn't seem to follow the "WoW Mold" and for that, I'll check it out. You're running the DG Guild, right? smile

Do we want a Message Board section just for this game/"official" guild?

Maybe instead of just for this game we should have a section for the "official DG guild" spanning over whatever games we play? That will keep it pertinent after we're done with TOR, or if TOR just sucks and we want to play something else. lol

Ok. It looks like it's getting close enough that we should start making some decisions about our plans for SWTOR.

Things we need to know / think about / decide asap:

1) Who and how many of us are intending to play?

2) Based somewhat on the answer to #1, should we form our own (probably) smaller guild or consider joining an existing (probably) larger guild?

3) We need to answer several questions amongst us, regardless of wether we create our own guild or join an existing guild:

a) Should we align ourselves with the Republic or the Empire?

b) Should we play on a PVE, PVP, or RP server?

c) What types of conditions do we want to place upon membership, or better yet what will we expect from our members? e.g. Forum activity, voice chat participation, relative activity level, scheduled weekly play times, level of RP expected, leadership structure...

4) We need a guild name or at least several suggestions that can be voted upon by those committing to play.

I've tried to add most of the issues that come to my mind. Those with more MMO guild experience, please add anything I've forgotten or any comments you have on what I've included here. I'd like to get these questions answered as quickly as possible so we can get our guild registered on the official site.
