Who is familiar with Richard Borg's game system and what do you think of it?

Resistance to his game system is futile.

Excellent game, I have the entire collection including the Epic Battles expansion for eight players. I highly recommend this game.

I see the system is used in alot of games from Battle Cry to Battle Lore, from Ancients to Napoleonic and Memoir 44. Rumor has it Battle Cry is being rereleased in November and I might want to pick it up. I was also looking at a hexagonal terrain system that would work perfectly for these games. A kind of boardgame/miniature hybrid could be played.

Yeah, I've heard the same thing. It is supposed to be a 150 Anniversary edition. I hope they will update the system to make it feel more like Civil War battles. This complaint is common with Battle Cry and Memoir 44 how the game system doesn't seem to work well with these two themes, but works much better with Ancient and Napoleonic battles. It is also a great entry game if you are wanting to learn miniature games. Let me know if you would like to get in a few rounds of C&C; I would be happy to teach.

I'm hoping they will update it. It was the first C&C based game, so I'm sure there are some new things that could be incorporated. I have also seen some nice, easy to add, house rules too.
