Jeff Jones had a terrific idea. I thought that given it's scope, we should have a discussion about it. Here is the original idea:
The people at All Games Considered have being doing what they call an RPG buffet. They eat lunch and play a game. So, how does that make it different than any other RPG session. Well, each time they meet they play a different RPG. They also tend to work on old-school games, and going through the various versions in order (like D&D). How many people would be interested in a 1x per month getting together to do a one or two shot game? DM can change for each game. Some Games that I have and/or had eperience with: Gamma World 1st Ed DnD Advanced DnD Aftermath Morrow Project Star Frontiers Star Ace Boot Hill Traveller Space Opera |

I could do it, but probably not every month. Of course, that is the nice thing about having one or two shot games. I would even DM some of the ones I would be familiar with

I can always throw in a game of Hollow Earth Expedition in there.

Here are some games that I own and am willing to run:
Gamma World (need to check edition) Traveller Traveller 2300 (quite a bit different from the Traveller game) RoleMaster/MERP (ICE) (this one has a very cool way to handle damage - very entertaining)/ RingWorld Call of Cthullu Star Frontiers What I would download and run: Rune Quest (SRD's are available) Aftermath What games do you have to offer that you can run? Looking especially for older games. |

I've got a couple small 2nd Ed AD&D adventures I could run What they (the AGC people) did is they ran EVERY version of DnD including the Oriental Adventures. Not sure if we can pull that off. I am sure most people do not remember when elf and dwarf and halflings were classes. A crazy link I found ... http://2.bp.blogspot.... |
