Halloween will be here before you know it. Last year, we had a pretty fun costume party at the Decatur Club. Let's start a discussion about this years party. Should we do it? Should it be costume? Should it be at the Decatur Club or somewhere else? Anyone have an opinion?

Heck yeah. I had a blast last year and would really look forward to another one this year. I thought the DC worked out great

Loved our Halloween party, and loved dressing up. My thought is that it would be nice to do a potluck or something where we could feel free to bring treats, etc.

I had the same thought, Kathy. The Decatur Club is great, but we can't really do food/drinks.

I talked with the wife, there is a possibility we could do a potluck over here

Depending on how many people come, I would say small to medium size we go with Steve's house and a large group stick with the Decatur Club. Really though, what are the Decatur Club people going to do if we show up with food? Call the police and throw us out?

Well, that's doubtful. But, we are there as guests, they could disinvite us from future events.

True, but I get the feeling they could care less. In fact for the meetup last month, I went to the office to ask about the event's location. I spent ten minutes explaining to the secretary what we did and how we had been meeting here for over a year. She had never heard of us before.

Remember though, we're working on someone else's membership. Our activity reflects on him, not on the group as a whole (in their eyes)

As long as we aren't smashing up the furniture or disturbing other people at the club, I doubt they will even pay attention. Heck, except for the bartender, nobody showed up the whole time to check on us to see how we were doing.
