I voted for Satruday and my reasoning is thus:
I assume we will want to eat, socialize AND play games. A Saturday allows us an earlier start time so there is ample time to do all of the aforementioned. Beyond that, I wouldn't care if it was Halloween weekend, the weekend before or even the weekend after. I imagine people will have others parties and such to attend. |

In talking to some of you at the last Open Game Night, it was apparent that more people prefer to do the party at someone's house (rather than Clockwork or the Decatur Club). I spoke with Steve Sanders and they're still willing to host. There are two dates that work for them - the 23rd and the 30th. So we've thrown up a new poll; we're trying to figure out what works best for the most people. Please vote here:

That still sounds good to me. Maybe we can do a small cover for drinks, plates, cups, ice, etc and then have everyone bring a main dish, side, or dessert?

I wouldn't worry too much about cups, plates, etc. Those are so darn cheap that Michelle and I will have plenty of them. And it looks pretty much like it'll be the 23rd unless there is a massive influx of votes between now and tomorrow morning. |
