I haven't forgotten about this game, it is a classic. I do hope to run it at some date in the future. I'm still working on the story, here & there. Hockey season is starting soon, which is painting time for me (watch games & paint models). So it would be next spring @ the earliest. But I am still working on it. I'm using a combination of custom scenarios & modules. Most of the game modules are in the upper midwest, so they kinda chain together.
You may generate your own characters within certain parameters (they would have to contain skill sets that would qualify them for the team). The journey will take you from your starting point through Decatur, Chicago, Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Kentucky, Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, and California. I have set a start date, but I won't add it to the calendar till later, Sun, Apr 8th, 1p sharp. I WILL START ON TIME, so I'd get there a few minutes early to get settled. The first session will be Character Creation, & I don't go strictly by-the-book, so you'll want to be there. Feel free to talk to me in advance for character / background ideas. The storyline allows players to come & go, but a core group is a good idea. So LMK how often you think you can make it. New & Veteran RPGers are welcome, allowances for humor & joking are there, but I reserve the right to invoke "Action-Said-Action-Done" rules if it gets out of hand. you'll need pencil & pen, 1 full set of Poly dice ( I recommend 4) 4d6 total, clalculator, An idea of how often you'll be able to make it (rough % is fine) a character concept that would fit into a team designed for rebuilding/recon. You will be members of a RECON team, not MARS (fyi...) Please feel free to ask me any more questions on your mind.

OK, I have a start date & as soon as I hear back from Matt it will be on the calendar as a meetup. 2-11-12 will be the date, as an intro session, only last an hour or 2. Anytime after 5p you can start showing up. I'll give you some background on the game, & walk you through character creation. I'll be taking a pic of all the players to print out an ID card, that will help me remember who's who in game. Dice will begin to drop @ 6p sharp, so PLEASE don't be late. I will post some character concepts that would be useful for the team, just to give you some ideas, feel free to incorporate more than 1: drivers, engineer, medic, botony, agriculture, physics, leadership, Communication, computer, forrestry, navigation, gunnery, vetrinary medicine, etc...
